Maserati is by Wedderlie Mardi Gras. Mardi Gras is a Royal Welsh Champion - the Royal Welsh is the largest Welsh Pony show in the world, and few Champions are ever exported. Mardi Gras is also a two time US National Champion (National High Score Winner), as well as many time Supreme and Regional Champion! Mardi has won well over 150 Championships in the US show ring. Maserati is out of the Oldenburg mare, Mata Hari - dam of the German Riding Pony stallion, Belafonte d'Avalon. Belafonte was one of the highest scoring Weser Ems and went out to complete his stallion testing with exceptional scores.
Maserati exhibits the athleticism and character of his heritage. Well started under saddle, he is a willing partner with three very good gaits and a "can do" attitude. He is forward and has a good, sensible work ethic. At five, he is ready to continue with his training and begin his competition career. Standing 14:1, he will be a very desirable large pony.
