Chanel is a feminine, elegant mare by Christ (Competent x Paloma/Picard). She successfully completed her Mare Performance Test with the German Oldenburg Verband in September, 2017 and was granted Elite Mare status with the incredible score of 7.47.   

In 2016, she produced the filly Cayke d'Avalon.  Cayke is by the stallion Toto Jr., a Totilas son that is under Edward Gal's training and has proven himself to be an exceptional athlete and an extraordinary dressage horse.  Cayke received the accolades from both judges that she was the best foal they had seen in 2016 both in North America and in Europe.  Cayke will be retained for our own breeding program.

Chanel's sire, Christ (pronounced Krist) was second Reserve Champion Stallion in the group of dressage stallions at the Hanoverian licensing in Verden. His pedigree is a dual talent, combining both excellent dressage horses and superb jumping.  Chanel's dam - Dixieland Jazz d'Avalon - is by Don Principe (Donnerhall x Papagina/Prince Thatch xx) a stallion that competed successfully through Grand Prix dressage.  Dixie is out of the mare, Mata Hari, the dam to our pony stallion sensation, Belafonte d'Avalon who is currently competing successfully in eventing. 

Chanel combines some of the very best in jumping and dressage breeding and should excel in either discipline.  She is one of only a few of Christ offspring in North America. She will continue with her performance career in 2018.
